Hello

A bit about Skye... A busy mum of twin boys, former skydiver, runner, and investor/renovator, Skye is based in Glenelg and loves the coastal lifestyle. You will find her at the beach on weekends when the sun is out, either going for a run, scooter/bike rides, or making sandcastles with the boys. At home, Skye loves playing with interior design, and the family take teeny tiny dog Coco for walks in the neighbourhood daily. A little known fact, Skye loves manifestation and all things 'woo woo', and you will regularly find affirmations and uplifting content on her socials and newsletters.  Always looking for new book and podcast recommendations - send them through!

My story

I started my real estate career at the age of 17 as a receptionist in my local franchise office, and then once I had my sales certificate, I worked as a buyers agent. It was a different time in the market and there was less information available for investors, and plenty of good deals to be had!

I moved into sales and really loved the whole process, preparing a home for sale, getting the marketing and presentation right, and my favourite part was putting together the deal with the seller and buyer to ensure everyone was happy.

I purchased my first investment property at 18, and was a keen investor, reading all of the books available at that time to learn as much as I could to grow my portfolio. There was no such thing as a podcast back then but thankfully there were books and seminars, and I went to everything!

25th February 2010...

In 2010 I had the opportunity to launch my own business - Taylored Property Management. I grew the business to 100 managements all on referral and word of mouth, and I loved the relationships I had built with my clients. Unfortunately I became quite unwell and had to sell the business. I had unwittingly developed burnout without even knowing this was a thing. As any business owner will tell you, you wear all the hats, and have to do all the things, and I was really learning all of this the hard way.

After some recovery and travel time, I spent the next near decade in purpose built student accommodation. I held a senior role and grew my operations skills and abilities and really valued the experience this added to my real estate knowledge.

However COVID soon hit and the industry had to pivot and change, and I went back to residential property management.

Big brands aren't the answer

It became evident very quickly, that there are a huge number of frustrated landlords out there.

The complaints were very similar, and usually as a result of a task based business, property managers who were inexperienced or just did not care enough, and high staff turnover being the main reasons landlords were walking out the doors.

I just knew it was time to re-launch my business Taylored Property Management again, and I really wanted to provide a level of service that I was unable to do so as an employee.

  - 2022  - Now

I now bring many more years of experience and I found that I love talking to new investors especially, and guiding them through the myriad of options available to them when they are considering purchasing an investment property.

Working with experienced investors is also a joy of mine, and delivering service with financial input and guidance to ensure they are maximising their returns, whilst being proactive in managing the asset. I take into account your reasons for investing, what the long term or short term goals are, and how we can best achieve that.

I love helping all my landlords, and hope to inspire you all on your own wealth creation journey. Real estate has never been about the houses for me, it's always been about the people.
